A manufacturing technician in a gigafactory is responsible for the production of cutting-edge technology products. The environment is highly automated and dynamic, and it’s their responsibility to ensure that products are manufactured to high standards. Manufacturing technicians in gigafactories have to be able to work well under pressure, and they have to be excellent communicators as well, because any issue that arises during production needs to be solved quickly.
Responsibilities for a Manufacturing Technician in a Gigafactory:
- operating production equipment in accordance with established procedures
- performing quality checks on products and materials
- troubleshooting equipment and production issues
- maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- adhering to all company safety policies and procedures
Requirements for a Manufacturing Technician in a Gigafactory:
- must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- may also have some post-secondary education, but it is not required
- at least one year of experience in a manufacturing setting
- must be able to follow instructions and procedures
- take measurements and record data accurately
- must be able to use basic hand tools and operate machinery safely
- be able to work well independently and as part of a team
