The training specialist’s role in the gigafactory is to support the development and execution of training programs for new and existing employees. They will work closely with the operations team to ensure that all training is aligned with business objectives and meets the needs of the workforce. In order to be successful in this role, they must be able to adapt their programs and materials on-the-fly to keep up with the latest changes.
As the Training Specialist in EV Industry, your responsibility is to:
- develop and deliver training materials
- coordinate multiple programs at once
- provide training and support for the customers on how to use company’s products
- working closely with the engineers and technicians to ensure that customers are able to receive the best possible training
Requirements:
- experience in instructional design and adult learning principles
- experience working with electric vehicles (either by working as an Electric Vehicle Service Technicians (EVSTs) or by completing an accredited training program)
- understanding of the technology
- being patient and flexible
- have strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- being organized and detail-oriented
- being able to keep track of trainees’ progress and ensure that everyone is on track
- being passionate about EVs
- have strong project management skills
The training specialist positions at the Gigafactory include:
- Technical Trainer – This role is responsible for delivering technical training to employees on the production line. They must be able to troubleshoot problems and provide solutions on the spot
- Safety Trainer – This role is responsible for ensuring that all employees are following safety protocols at all times. They must be able to identify hazards and correct them immediately
- Quality Trainer – This role is responsible for teaching employees how to produce high-quality products that meet customer expectations. They must be able to spot defects and quickly find solutions
- Maintenance Trainer – This role is responsible for teaching employees how to properly maintain equipment and machinery. They must have a strong understanding of mechanical systems and be able to troubleshoot issues quickly
